A fascinating collection of news publications concerning the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria (June 1897) and the Coronation of King George V (June 1911). The following items relate to the Diamond Jubilee: 'The Illustrated London News' dated 5th June 1897 (No. 3033, Volume 10), with relevant advertisements; 'The Illustrated London News' dated 12th June 1897 (No. 3034, Volume 110), with dedicated pages, advertisements, and a supplement 'View of the Route of the Royal Procession'; and 'The Illustrated London News Diamond Jubilee Celebration Supplement' dated 26th June 1897, with illustrations and a large fold out view of the Procession. There are two identical Special Coronation Numbers of 'The Sphere&apos. Contained within a folder. In a folder bound in half morocco. Worn to extremities, with marks and tidemarks. Both copies of 'The Illustrated London News' firmly bound and bright and clean, with just the odd mark. The supplement has edgewear and marks. Both copies of 'The Sphere' are loose and strained in places. The first has worn, detached boards. The second lacks boards. The first copy has marks from a brown (tea?) liquid to the rear, but both are remarkably bright. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
