Folkestone is a port town on the English channel which was an important harbour during the 19th and 20th century. The scenes in this collection cover some of the towns famous aspects including the Leas Lift, a funicular railway which carries passengers from the seafront to the promenade. This book includes a scene of the Pier in the general view of the harbour, dating this book to after its completion in 1905. In paper covered boards. Externally, sound with browning hand handling marks. Some rubbing and bumping. Internally, firmly bound.
