It was established in 1525, and maintains its own unique traditions, as is common for English public schools. Written and illustrated by the nineteenth century painter, Ralph St. John Ainslie. The illustrated half title page is present. With a bookplate for one, 'Egerton Parker', to the front paste-down. In the original vellum binding. Externally very smart with some light shelf wear to the edges. Fading to the spine and marks to the boards. Spotting to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Bookplate to the front paste-down. Internally, the frontispiece is loose but present, otherwise internally firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean with just the odd light handling mark.
