The major themes of notebook covers produced between 1880 and 1910 were patriotic subjects, including the history of France, geography (France and the conquest of the colonies), and famous figures who forged France. The majority of the notebook covers in this sammelband display these patriotic and historical themes; the other covers depict illustrations and information about animals and handicrafts. In paper wraps. Externally sound, with some sunning and a little creasing to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound.
