Dated from the Harvard Library. Two volumes bound in one. In full decorative cloth binding with gilt detail. Bound by Webb. A collection of engravings from notable British artists of the early nineteenth century, alongside illustrative descriptions of their most admired works. Comprising of an engraved title page and seventy six full page plates. Collated complete. In full cloth decorative binding. Externally very smart with shelf wear to the edges and spine. Some light fading to the spine and a few marks to the boards. Hinges are starting but still very firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with spotting to the plates and some offsetting to the front blank opposite the engraved title page. Date to the engraved title has been rubbed out by a prior owner.
