First published in 1858, it follows the titular character's first person account of his journey to adulthood, and has been noted for its similarity to Dickens' 'David Copperfield&apos.Illustrated with an engraved title page and frontispiece, and thirteen further plates from Hablot Knight Browne, better known by his pen name, 'Phiz&apos. In half morocco bindings, with cloth covered boards. Fading to back strips, with boards bright and clean. Both front joints strained, with boards holding firm. Internally, firmly bound.
