A bright half morocco signed binding from Bumpus, with the title 'Motor Boat Expenses 1936', in gilt to the spine.Internally, the first seven leaves bear the hand written log of a contemporary owner. With entries dated from between February and September 1946, and details of journeys such as Teddington to Greenwich, Dover to Newhaven and Yarmouth to Poole, this is a fascinating account of the journey's undertaken in a motorboat throughout England in the summer of 1946.The remaining pages - over three-hundred - are left blank for further journey logs, and feature blank fields including date, temperature, barometer, gallons used, and gallons put in. In a signed half morocco binding, with cloth covered boards. Light fading to back strip, with rubbing to fore edge of boards resulting in minor losses to the leather. Internally, firmly bound.
