Anderson tells of the history of nineteenth century Europe during the Peninsular and Napoleonic Wars. Studies in the present set included are:Of the Spanish Campaign of Sir John Moore, the special period being being Corunna, 1808-9. Illustrated with folding map of Corunna, lacking that of Spain and Portugal; The Peninsular War: March I, 1811, to the Close of the War in 1814. With a folding map to the rear;The Waterloo Campaign 1815 or the Campaign in Belgium, not illustrated as called for; The Napoleonic Campaign of 1805 from March 30 to the end of the year. Complete with three folding maps; The Campaign of Jena 1806, dealing with the Napoleonic Campaign from August 9 to November 8, with special reference to the period from October 10 to 14. Complete with three folding maps. In the original publisher's uniform full cloth bindings. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only, spine and boards only lightly bumped. The back strip of 'Waterloo Campaign' darkened. Library stamps and record sheet to the front endpapers of 'Spanish Campaign', with a library stamp to the title page. Library shelf number inked to the spine of 'Sir John Moore Campaign.' Internally, firmly bound. Light spotting to the first and last few leaves of the occasional volume, otherwise the pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Illustrated with folding maps and plans. Very Good Indeed .
