A very scarce pamphlet, dated from copies on Jisc 1813. Copac notes the author to be Nicholas Vansittart, English politician, and one of the longest-serving Chancellors of the Exchequer in British history. In this pamphlet, he outlines a complicated scheme for dealing with the sinking fund to be submitted to Parliament, increasing the custom duties and other taxes; his system was later criticised by William Huskisson, Tierney, Brougham, Hume and Ricardo.  Disbound. Externally very smart with only a minor neat creasing to the lower right corner of the front page and a minor odd spot to the rear. Internally, firmly bound.
