A very scarce work.Illustrated with nine colour folding plans and one plate.Collated, complete.An important report on the improvement of the Holyhead road, a major road in England and Wales that is now known as the A5. Telford designed the bridge for the London Holyhead road over the River Severn at Montford. This report looks at needed improvement for the road, particularly in the area between London and Shrewsbury.The reports are dated 5th June 1820 and 30th June 1819.Bookplate of Thomas Aloysius Perry to the front paste down. Perry was a leading member of the Warwickshire gentry, who inherited Bitham House. In a half calf binding with paper to the boards. Externally, with some rubbing and loss of leather to the boards and spine. Small crack to the tail of the front joint. Light bumping to the extremities. Light marks to the boards. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very lightly age-toned and clean, with just a couple of light spots. Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Good .
