The exposition showcased the advances made during the Industrial Revolution, especially the progress made in the decade since the 1851 Great Exhibition.The world's fair was held throughout 1862 besides the gardens of the Royal Horticultural Society in South Kensington. About 6.1 million people visited to Great London Exposition. Overall the total profit was only £790.Bookplate of John Wilkinson to the recto to the front endpaper. In a half morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing to the boards and spine. A little wear to the extremities. Spine is a touch faded.
