In 1729, the House of Industry became a foundling hospital as well.The House of Industry was help for the employment and maintaining the poor. By 1796, only a couple of years before this work, the House of Industry accommodated more than one-thousand seven-hundred people.The 'acting governors' were each elected annually, with a total of seven governors. Disbound. Externally, the outer leaves are a little age-toned with some marks. A little remains of the original backstrip. Internally, firmly bound. pages are age-toned and generally clean with some marks and some spots. Puncture marks to the gutter of the text. Pages 3-6 are detaching. Page 67/68 is detached but present. page 31/32 is a little closely cropped to the tail, affecting only the note. A small amount of edgewear to the textblock. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
