The half-title for the 1798 'Proceedings' is the first leaf in this copy.The proceedings of the act of the House of Industry, established in Dublin by an act in 1703. In 1729, the House of Industry became a foundling hospital as well.The House of Industry was help for the employment and maintaining the poor. By 1796, only a couple of years before this work, the House of Industry accommodated more than one-thousand seven-hundred people.The 'acting governors' were each elected annually, with a total of seven governors. Disbound. Externally, the outer leaves are a little age-toned with some marks. A little remains of the original backstrip. Internally, firmly bound. pages are age-toned and generally clean with some marks and some spots. Puncture marks to the gutter of the text. Pages 3-6 are detaching. Page 67/68 is detached but present. page 31/32 is a little closely cropped to the tail, affecting only the note. A small amount of edgewear to the textblock. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
