Glosses to some pages are a little closely cropped. Signatures run as A-F4. Collated, complete. Translated faithfully from French into English. Running title reads 'The Lawes of Geneva&apos. Rebound in a quarter morocco binding with paper to the boards, and new endpapers. A fascinating work on the law of Geneva, Switzerland, in the mid seventeenth century. At this time, Geneva was split into both Roman Catholic and Protestant religions, with the work being published right after the Reformation. The laws and statutes are written in the register book of Geneva. JISC states that some tracts were collected by Fabian Phillips, and Walter Yonge. Rebound in a quarter morocco binding with paper to the boards. Externally, smart. Light marks to the boards. Ink inscription to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are age-toned with the odd spot and mark. Small repair to the head of leaf F4, with a small amount of tape to the running title, and across five words.
