This is a 'New Edition', with a 'new poem' by the renowned poet Algernon Charles Swinburne. Collated, complete with twelve etched plates. This is a scarce work. With the following ink inscription to the front free-endpaper: 'Eva Ripper On her 21st birthday from her loving partner and friend T W Holmey&apos. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with pictorial gilt and black detail to the front board. Externally generally smart, with minor shelfwear to extremities. Slight bumping to head of spine resulting in slight splitting and lifting to cloth. Fading to spine, with a small mark to the front board. Front hinge slightly strained but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to front free-endpaper. Internally generally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned to extremities but bright and clean with the odd spot, heavier to first and last few pages. Very Good . Ill.: Various. Very Good .
