Written by Paul Jérémie Bitaubé. A pleasing copy of this 18th work, bound in a uniform mottled calf binding. Illustrated with 4 plates to volume I, 5 to volume II. With the previous owners illegible inscription to the head of each front endpaper. With an additional stamp to the reverse of the title page of the initials, F.L.B. Paul Jérémie Bitaubé is noted for his translation of Homers 'The Iliad', as well as his own poetical works. This particular work, 'Joseph', is a work of prose poetry. In a full mottled calf binding. Externally bumped to the extremities, with heavy rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, with a small amount of loss to the leather. Front joint to volume I is cracked to the head. Small crack to the tail of front joint to vol II. Small patch of loss to the rear board of volume II towards the fore edge. Ink inscription to the head of the front endpapers of each volume. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright with the very occasional spot. Previous owners stamp to the reverse of the title page of each volume. Good Only . Ill.: Unamed. Good Only .
