'Miss Rich and Little Hungry' is a poem, telling a tale about money. The poem follows one rich little girl, and one poor little beggar girl. The poem explores their relationship and their experiences meeting each other. Illustrated by William James Webb. Webb was a painter who painted rustic, religious, and animal scenes. He was known for painting with great detail and rich colours. Though he lived in London, he travelled a lot to the Middle East. With five coloured plates. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, lacking the backstrip. Chips to the extremities, with a larger chip to the head of the front wrap. Light marking and discolouration to the wraps. Internally, generally firmly bound, though the textblock is a little loose to the rear. Pages are bright with scattered spots and marks. Prior owner's ink and pencil drawings to the reverse of pages.
