Stamp to the title page 'With the Publisher's Compliments&apos. In the original paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart. Bumping has resulted in the boards to the extremities to be lifting lightly. Light marking to the boards, with a small crease to the front board. Minor cockling to the spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Rear hinge has detached, but front board remains firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with just the odd handling mark. Offsetting to the recto of the frontispiece. Page 79/80 is lifting to the tail to the gutter.
