Bij deze uitgave uit de atlas van Janssonius ontbreekt deze vierde rand, zoals meestal het geval is. Handgekleurde kopergravure door Claes Jansz. Visscher, uitgegeven in 1630 te Amsterdam door Johannes Janssonius in Atlantis Maioris Appendix. Hoogte 40 cm. Breedte 56 cm. Antique map of Flanders. Title at top. The map is surrounded by three decorative borders. Above from left to right the portrait of Albert of Austria, city views of Ghent, Bruges, and Ostend, the coat of arms of Flanders, city views of Sluis, Ypres, and Dunkirk, and the portrait of Isabella of Austria. Left and right male and female figures from different walks of life. Back blank. Early edition of the map without the lower decorative border. There was actually no room for this fourth decorative border in the edition and it was printed as a loose strip and sometimes added. This edition from Janssonius' atlas lacks this fourth border, as is usually the case. Hand-coloured copper engraving by Claes Jansz.
