De titelprent is daarnaast ook nog fraai met goud gehoogd. A fine illustrated copy of this epic poem, an ode to the river “De Amstel”, to which the city of Amsterdam owes its name. The title print, the title page, all seven tailpieces at the end of the chapters, and the fold-out map of the Amstelstroom, are beautifully contemporary hand-colored. The title print and title page are heightened with gold as well. .
