No. 258 of an unspecified limited number of one edition only, this copy designated as Deluxe Edition. Handsome and expensively produced history of the Aleppo Temple, bound in full leather with numerous color plates. Includes a history of the Ancient Arabic Order; the Foundation of the Order; Dr. Fleming's History of the Order; History of the Mystic Shrine in foreign countries; and History of the Imperial Grand Countil, Ancient Arabic Order, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America. This is followed by the history and reports from the first through forty-first annual sessions, and more. The volumes are generously illustrated with tipped on chromolithographed plates, other color plates, black and white plates, and decorative borders with an Egyptian motif. Many individual photographs of members arranged in groups, with the photos being either in full color, in black and white with a red fez, or entirely in black and white, depending on rank within the organization. Two hefty volumes (additional shipping costs apply), each about 2 1/4" thick. Full embossed leather printed in gilt, all edges gilt, pictorial endpapers, a total of 1,039 pages. Some expected external rubbing and wear, with the front joint of volume I a little weak but all covers firmly attached, bindings sound with no loosened pages, etc. Internally near fine, with very clean pages free from chips, tears, markings, names, etc. A very handsome copy. Very heavy - additional postage required.
