Title: FLASH GORDON STRANGE ADVENTURE MAGAZINE, Vol. I, No. 1, December, 1936 (Includes Flash Gordon in "The Master of Mars")
Description: NY, NY, C.J.H. Publications, 1936. 1936. Soft cover with dust jacket. Paperback, appx 7 1/4 x 10 1/8 inches, 96 pages + cover, Fair condition. Feature story has Flash Gordon in a death struggle with the dominating dictator of Mars . Front cover states: "A Full Length Novel" & "Illustrations in Full Color". Inside and outside f&b cover surfaces pretty nice and the printed pages (text pages along w/ 8 full-page illustrations in color) all pretty nice throughout. The big problem is biopredation along top half of the spine along with splitting along the bottom half of the spine has separated the covers from the rest of the magazine, and has also separated the front cover from the back cover. (Covers could be carefully re-affixed along the lower half of the spine, but wouldn't necessarily be a great idea.) One heavy-duty staple remains intact and holds the 96 pages of the interior of the book together soundly w/ no pages missing. Flash Gordon story runs through p. 67 + shorter offerings include Saga of the Smokepot (The rocketship Smokepot - lost! ), The Last War (only 2 pages) and The Man Without a Brain (starting on p. 79). Quite a nice copy of this magazine is listed elsewhere online at $1250 (found when you search a title field for: Flash Gordon December 1936). See Also listed here my 1936 hardback in dj, Flash Gordon in the Caverns of Mongo. (Buy both items for a discount.) , Fair/Dust Jacket Included.
