Snug binding, hinges intact, very nice throughout interior incl illustrated endpapers and incl no names, no writing, no bookplates. Maroon cloth covers and the gilt titling quite nice incl the spine, corners & edges, and this copy would merit VG+ excepting damage to front cover pastedown which is obvious but does not by any means totally ruin appreciation for the illustration since the damage is limited to 3/8ths inch strip of surface (image) loss down the left hand edge and then half way across the bottom edge (the plain white paper substrate remains solidly affixed to the front cover where this "background area" image loss has occurred).
