Snug binding but hinges cracked. Remains a rather attractive copy though bumped corners/fraying ends a little worse than minor + slightly darkened spine & rather minor spill blotchiness spine & (mostly) front cover. Black endpapers, interior pages generally very nice throughout, only widely scattered short pencil tick marks in the margin areas. Renowned professor's neat name first blank page past the ffep: "A.F. Kuersteiner, Univ. of Cincinnati". Albert Frederick Kuersteiner born 1865 New Orleans, degree from Univ. of Cincinnati, Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins, taught at Wabash College, became Univ. of Indiana Professor and Head of Romance Languages and Literatures, died 1917. Very Good.
