Condition about like new - crisp and very clean. Paragraph headings: A Little History, Why Ducks Were Scarce, What DU Did About It, Here Are The Results. Also includes hunting illustrations, a table of statistics (recent annual duck #'s & lengths of hunting seasons through 1942) + a map showing DU Projects in the Greatest Breeding Area (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba). From the DU Timeline found on the internet: DU incorporated 1937, DU Canada and the Big Grass Marsh Project 1938, More Game Birds Foundation assets ceded to DU in 1940, Big Grass Marsh Project attains full supply level 1942. This pamphlet mentions the 1934-'35 U.S. Biological Survey (North American duck population at 30 million), launching of a federal refuge program with Duck Stamp and unemployment relief funds, Canadian volunteers (Kee-men?), dams and reservoirs, destruction of crows and magpies, pike predation, doubling of the duck population in 5 years, most species removed from the protected list. An early piece of Ducks Unlimited ephemera. Fine.
