Description: NY, Grossman, c. 1965. 1965. Hardcover with dust jacket. The early Book Club Edition. Hardback, octavo, xiv + 298 pages, VG+ to Near Fine in Good dj (dj fitted with protective clear mylar sleeve). Book itself snug binding, hinges intact, square corners, very clean inside and out incl no names/writing/bookplates. Publisher's clean bright red stain to the top edges of the textblock. DJ printed in red & blk on white, unpriced, no corners clipped, pretty much bright clean appearance front panel o/w has some tanning (minor to the white bkg back panel, more noticeable to white spine titling & along edges of the interior flaps) + 3 edge tears not greatly noticeable (2 at an inch, 1 at 1/2 inch), a crease running along top edge front panel & spine a couple of horizontal cracks and a small scuff (the tears, cracks and small scuff have been repaired on the unprinted side with archival paper tape). A few b&w line drawing illustrations towards the front of the book + 2 Appendices & Index. Very Good/Good.
