This demo record # CC 0615 is about like new and the sleeve is VG+ (printed black on white, information front and back, John Taylor photo of Langston Hughes on the front and a woodcut of a civil war soldier on the back). The 19 excerpts include narrations or songs by Langston Hughes, Ossie Davis, Pete Seeger, Dorothy Franklin Washington, Missionary Quintet, Hermes Nye, W.E.B. DuBois, the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. President Eisenhower & President Kennedy. Topics include: Negroes coming to America as free men with explorers, Harriet Tubman's escape to freedom, Frederick Douglass on the candidacy of Abraham Lincoln, Founding of the NAACP, Nashville sit-in, 1963 March on Washington, etc. Fine/Dust Jacket Included.
