This was a combined biography of three individuals who participated in anti-fascist campaigns and politics before and during World War II. One of these three was Michel Dupont who had acted as Ernest Hemingway's driver and bodyguard. The author, without obtaining permission to do so, made use of quotations from letters Dupont had received from Hemingway, and the book was suppressed, withdrawn before publication.
