Book, Folio, half calf (seriously worn) with origina (worn)l marbled boards; Engraved title (dated 1762, by Mounet et Prevost) and 'Avertissement' and a 1 page engraved index, diagrams, winds table and 36 double-page maps in original colour, as called for, 1 page catalogue of Lattre's publications, last entry dated 1756. The majority of the maps are by Bonne, but there are also contributions from Janvier and Rizzi-Zannoni. Most are dated 1761-64. According to the index al maps are present, but with some awkward numbering ,there is no map nr. "25". Other maps bear a different number as listed in the index. But all maps are present as called for. The map of Europe (map Nr. 2) has a large tear, but no engraved surface missing. Generous margins. All margins soiled, dog eared or even a trifle unfresh. Verso to most maps with contemporary manuscript titles and numbering, also paint, ink, pencil and other smudges..most maps loose in binding. Contains a fine Worldmap, the Continents and nice maps of The Gulf Of Mexico and the America' s. Printed on heavy paper. Needs some attention. Fair/No Jacket.
