Title: Matilda, A Tale of the Crusades, A Poem. In Six Books.

Interest in the Crusades as a literary topic both in Britain and in the rest of Europe was fairly extensive. Michael John Horswell in his Ph. Scott also used the name "Matilda" in his long poem Rokeby (1813).
