FIRST AND ONLY EDITION. 12mo (in 6s), 146 x 88 mms., pp. [ii], 144, 24, original printed green boards (rubbed and slightly soiled), red roan (rubbed and a little worn), but a good copy with the contemporary autograph "Wm Burnet Craigie/ Linton/ 1838" on the recto of the front free end-paper. The twenty-four pages at the end contain the publishers' announcement and adverts. This would appear to be their first venture at an Aberdeen almanac; "The Publishers of the New Aberdeen Almanac are not unaware of the fact that there is yet ample room in it for still farther improvement. But they beg their fellow-citizens to receive with indulgence this, the first attempt at improvement, where they conceived improvement was loudly called for."
