This compendium of Kings and Queens and other Monarchs of Great Britain and Europe, as a "footstep" to history would doubtless be anathema to many of today's history teachers, to whom the lives and acts of the labouring poor in previous centuries contributed at least as much, if not more, to the stories of the nations than the sovereigns did. Perhaps so, but alas no one in previous centuries seems to been concerned with chronicling what is regarded as more vitally important. Uncommon: Copac locates copies in the Bodleian and National Trust; no copies traced in North America.
