Charles le Clerc..., Pierre Morissett..., Antoine-Urrain Coutelier..., 1715. 12mo, 159 x 94 mms., pp. [xvi], 584 [585 - 602 index], contemporary calf, spine ornately gilt in compartments, red leather label; base of spine wormed, top of spine chipped and spine a little dried, but a decent copy from the Easton Neston Library, with the contemporary autograph "Louis Chabanel" on the verso of the leaf preceding the title-page. Francois Pomey (1618 - 1673) was probably best-known to 18th century English readers as the author of the work usually translated as The Pantheon (Pantheon Mythicum); he was also distinguished for his Latin-French dictionary.
