FIRST AND ONLY EDITION. 8vo, pp. xi [xii], 324, engraved coat of arms as frontispiece, entirely uncut, later boards and linen spine, paper label (very slightly chipped). A very good copy. Mrs. Cobb (1773 - 1802) became a member of a Baptist church group early in life and began keeping her diary in 1791, three years before her marriage. The editor of this spiritual autobiography notes, "It seems necessary to state explicitly that Mrs. C. was a Dissenter and a Baptist to the last...." Uncommon: copies located in the BL and Bodleian; Library of Congress, Boston Public, Princeton, Free Library of Philadelphia; Manitoba; and Hong Kong.
