Large 8vo, 250 x 190 mms., pp. [iv], 51 [52 ornament], including half-title, text printed within borders, limitation notice on verso of title-page, "This Edition is limited to 50 Copies," contemporary quarter red sheepskin, marbled boards; spine defective, covers detached. Arnot (1749 - 1786) delivered this as a paper before the Edinburgh Speculative Society, and it was first printed in 1776.
