Title: Autograph letters, signed, on a single quarto leaf, to Robert Scott Moncreiff, not dated, but probably 1829.
Description: [Manuscript]. c. 1829. The text of the letter might just seem to anticipated the plot of Trollope's The Last Chronicle of Barset: Tytler writes, "My dear Scott,/ I am utterly ashamed at not having sooner acknowledged the receipt of our kind letter containing the Bill for £10. Not having heard anything of or from Mrs Lowe since I saw you I am not certain that she is in that state of immediate want which would render it advisable to transmit the whole Sum to her - which the Duke has so generously sent - but I shall consult my Mother and place it in her hands to be disposed of to Mrs. Lowe in such small Sums from time to time, as may be most adviseable." Mrs. Lowe presumably did not suffer Mr. Crosby's fate.
