Longman...[et al], 1748. 12mo (in 6s), pp. ix [x - xii Contents], 346 [347 - 348 adverts], illustrations in text, contemporary sheepskin (slightly worn); front cover detached, rear joint cracked. The first edition of this work traced in ESTC on-line was published in 1717, followed by a second edition in 1721 and a third in 1729; thereafter, fourth, fifth, and sixth editions proliferate, both in Britain and Ireland. ESTC records 23 editions published in the 18th century and locates three copies of the above edition, the British Library and Reading University Library in the UK and Texas University Library in the United States.
