Ex-Library, Both front and back covers are missing; most of the brown cloth spine still present. Stamps from Croydon public library on prelims, title (front and back), corner several pages. Otherwise good condition - pages vey firm and clean. 58 pages. Joseph John Gurney 1788-1847, a banker in Norwich, became an evangelical Minister of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), and his views and actions led, ultimately, to a schism among American Quakers. Brother of Elizabeth Fry, campaigned for prison reform and the abolition of slavery. These verses published prior to his departure for America. Fairly Good/No Jacket.
