All the species in the book have been identified and photographed by the authors in their natural habitats.The taxonomic classification of the species and their Turkish names, are taken from The Red Book of Butterflies in Turkey (Karaçetin & Welch, 2011), A Field Guide to the Butterflies of Turkey (Baytas, 2008), Butterflies of Europe and the Mediterranean area (Thsikolovets, 2011) and the lists published by Koçak & Kemal (2009)..
