Signed by the author and the artist under the colophon. 1st edition. Decorative paper a bit damage. "The Violinist from Salzburg". Musical story with excellent lithographic illustrations by Jäger, 1895-1980, who left Austria for the United States in 1938. He worked from 1953-1970 at the Hallmark Company, now called Frederick Jaeger. According to his biographer, Jaeger imbued Christmas cards with a distinctly warmer, Austrian touch. The lithograph shows the protagonist of the story practising violin exercises on his old umbrella.
