Description: Oblong 9,0 x 11,2 cm. Verso has traces of glue and an inscription about the author. Bourdet, author of the melodrama La Prisonnière, with a lesbian theme, visited New York when this drama was played with the title The Captive in the famous Empire Theater on Broadway from November 1926. On February 9, 1927 the theater was raided by the police because of its dangerous subject.
