Mild soiling and surface wear at boards, some foxing at earlier and later leaves, less so in text, this chiefly unaffected. Small graze at rear free endpaper. A good, sound copy. Not dated, but with a preface to the British Edition, dated 1852, and with a prize bookplate of Mr. Hunter's School, Edinburgh (matching front board decoration) dated 1854, and the ticket of W.P. Kennedy, bookseller, also Edinburgh.
