Quarto, polished half-calf, gilt, marbled boards, viii (though vi) with half-title possibly bound in afterwards, and directly before first plate. All edges gilt. 35 tissue-guarded illustrations engraved by Edward Finden, with facing captions. 'Nantz Mill' illustration with caption of 'Waterfall at Aber' (the same caption also present where called for). Some very light smudging and inextensive foxing, where occurring, marginal, the images in very good order. Front endpaper separated over hinge, but all still sound, the binding with light rubbing only, very minor wear at extremities. Early bookseller's ticket at front paste-down endpaper (Arnold & Co. Liverpool).
