Octavo, good early full calf and title label, ex-library with the bookplates of Ulverston Athenaeum Library, and Thomas Sutherland, 590pp. no maps &c. but with full-page engraved portrait of Otho. Light wear at binding, no serious loss; early margins tanned, a little marginal staining, not at all extensive, very little foxing. A reasonably good copy. Contents: The History of Rome from the Perfect Settlement to the Roman Empire to the Death of Nero, the last of the Family of the Caesars.
