A little separation between spine and head of front board, still firmly attached; binding with very light soiling and rubbing; some foxing, most remarkable at tissue guard (with offsetting at title), text leaves a little tanned, marginal foxing only remarkable (and not significant at final few leaves of main text. Inscribed at head of title, "J. Monckton/ The Gift of the Author." .
