Tall octavo, very dark green quarter cloth, gilt title at head of spine, printed paper boards, xvi + 156pp. advert. leaf, edges untrimmed, full-page illustrations. Boards just a little darkened and with very minor soiling; endpapers and edges quite tanned, offsetting at fly-leaf (armorial bookplate of Sydney H. Carr). Text and illustrations clean. Centre joint strained, but far from threatening. Cloth and gilt clean. A decent copy. (Alcuin Club Collections, V) .
