Una calma utopia was presented at the Vereniging voor het Museum van Hedendaagse Kunst in Ghent, Belgium, during the months of April and May 1995 following a long period of studies. For the occasion I chose to empty the space : something akin to a state of fatigue. I wanted to "disarm" myself, share my weakness with the visitor by presenting myself as harmless to his eyes. All the works, mahogany woodcuts, dry pastel drawings on primed wood and dry pastel drawings on paper, were hung together on a wall in the smallest room of the museum. The other larger rooms were left empty. Fine.
