Famous anthology with selections from the work of fifty-two American writers including the likes of Aiken, Djuna Barnes, e.e. cummings, Dos Passos, Hemingway, McAlmon, Pound, Gertrude Stein, William Carlos Williams, and contains Henry Miller's first book appearance (Mademoiselle). With photographs and biographical sketches of the authors (except for Ezra Pound, who writes: I can't bloody well be bothered to write my own biography..).
