Title: The Caecilians of the World
Description: Lawrence: University of Kansas Press, 1968. First edition. Pp. viii, (6), 848; 425 text-figures and photos. Publisher's original dark blue cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine, thick lg 8vo. This is the classic work on caecilians (limbless, serpentine amphibians), that has become very scarce. They inhabit the tropics of South and Central America, Africa, and southern Asia. From the research collection of R. B. Loomis with his printed name on the front endpaper. Light edge wear to cloth, a tight and clean copy in near fine condition..
