Publisher's original one quarter brown morocco leather, spine with four raised bands set off gilt decorations, lettered in gilt in two compartments and with gilt floral designs in the other four compartments, over brown marbled boards with attractive blue marbled endpapers inside, sm 4to (10 3/4 x 7 inches; 27 x 18 cm). The monograph provides a detailed and precise overview of the current state of knowledge of cryptogams, edible or poisonous, to form a complete work that can be consulted by anyone interested in the study of fungi. It is rich in scientific and botanical details, accompanied by superb color illustrations and with vast analytical indexes. The text is in French. No ownership marks and almost no signs of use. There is some tanning to the outer page margins of the text block, folding defect to page 101 with no effect to the text, the morocco binding and marbled boards are very bright and clean; a tight copy in near fine condition..
