This recorded transcript of the papers presented at a symposium sponsored by the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research. Wenner-Gren, a granting agency, periodically sponsored symposia that bought together leading academics in particular fields. The topic ""Origin of Man"" was a hot topic in 1965 due to the announcement by Louis Leakey of a new species of the genus Homo, H. habilis in 1964. Leakey attended this meeting and had his comments recorded as all other members of the symposium. This restricted transcript was available to all members of the symposium and 'to authorized persons and institutions for $10 a copy. Spine cloth is lightly sunned, a tight and clean copy in near fine condition..
